Estate Law Aid

Documents to gather

Calm, organized, plain-language intake for estate planning and probate questions. New York and New Jersey first, with future rollout prepared.

Document Checklists

  • Estate planning: prior wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, beneficiary forms, asset lists, deeds, account statements, and family information.
  • Probate: death certificate, original will if any, court papers, asset details, debts, creditor notices, funeral bills, tax/accounting papers, and family/heir information.
  • Document names can be tracked in workspace. When secure upload is available, use copies only and follow the account instructions. Do not send originals.
Important: This site is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not create an attorney-client relationship. Final legal advice should come from a licensed attorney in your state.
