No safe-to-sign claims without completion

Attorney Engagement and Finalization Gate

This gate prevents premature claims that a will, trust, POA, directive, probate filing, asset transfer, or trust funding step is final, signed, notarized, filed, funded, transferred, or attorney-approved.

1Attorney engagementConflict check, attorney acceptance, scope, engagement terms, payment/quote, secure access, and assignment.
2Attorney review recordReviewed version, notes, requested edits, unresolved issues, and customer approval are tracked.
3Signing/notary instructionsState-specific signing, witness, notary, and capacity considerations must come from verified state workflow and/or attorney review.
4Court filing handoffProbate/court filings are handoff tasks only until an attorney, court-authorized filer, or customer actually files through the correct court process.
5Trust funding and asset transferDeeds, account retitling, beneficiary changes, business interests, and vehicle transfers require separate tasking and review.
6Safe-to-sign releaseThe platform can release a reviewed status only when every configured gate is complete and logged.
Critical: Estate Law Aid should never mark a draft as legally valid or safe to sign from document generation alone. Finalization requires state rules, document facts, signing formalities, and attorney-review needs to be checked.
